Best Sites to Watch Indie Films

Unknown

Big budget blockbusters wow us at the movie theaters weekly, but don’t underestimate the smaller independent films that come out year-round.

The artistry of filmmaking is so precious to many directors and producers, that some vow against creating commercially viable projects in an attempt to remain uninfluenced in producing movies that are close to their heart. These films show the crux of creativity, unfiltered imagination, and raw talent in the world around us. (And others… well, just show the beginner-side of the movie biz, which is equally important because we all start somewhere.)

Here is a list of the top 7 places to watch indie films online. The sites listed show the good, the bad, and the ugly of the indie film market. Take some time this weekend to check out a few indie gems.

1. FilmNet
2. Snag Films
3. Indie Movies Online
4. Short Film Central
5. Sundance Now
6. Open Film
7. InMoo

  2. I’m not certain the place you are getting your info, but great topic. I must spend a while studying more or figuring out more. Thanks for great information I used to be on the lookout for this info for my mission.

  5. It is nice to see the rise in awareness of indie sites. That being said both netflix and itunes do have more and more indie films, but they are hard to find in the massive selection and the true low budget indies seems to drown there.
I would have liked to see the inclusion of indiemondo.com on the list though 🙂
